At home
Supported Living Coach
Coaching for independent life at home and around town: money, doctor appointments, groceries and getting out with friends.
Chapter 01
Independence at home and in the community
A Supported Living Coach helps an adult with diverse abilities build independent living skills, both at home and out in the community. It is coaching, not taking over: the point is that the person does the thing, with someone beside them who knows how it goes.
It comes from the same belief that started ProjectFREE in 2009 and still runs it on 51st Street South in Gulfport: that people can live, learn, work and play in their own community when the right support is in the right place. The coach is one way that support reaches a person's own kitchen table and neighborhood.

Money, doctor appointments and groceries
The everyday list is where coaching earns its keep. Finances, so that bills and spending make sense. Doctor appointments, so that a visit is made, understood and followed through on. Groceries, so that a week of meals gets planned, bought and put away.
None of those is glamorous, and all of them decide how much of life a person gets to run for themselves. Coaching works on them one at a time, in the setting where they actually happen, rather than in a classroom far from the store or the clinic.
Chapter 03
Getting out, and how it joins up with home
Social inclusion is part of the work. A coach helps a person get out and take part in community life, not only manage a household, because being known in your neighborhood is part of living well in it.
Coaching connects to the rest of ProjectFREE. It sits next to the independent living homes, and it pairs with the day programs, where members already make music, art and theater with friends. To ask about coaching, call (727) 603-0595. ProjectFREE does not publish fees, so call to talk about funding as the first step.
ProjectFREE has supported adults with diverse abilities since 2009, and holds a 5.0 Google rating from 13 reviews.
